Apple Cider Vinegar: Easy as 1, 2, 3

Apple Cider Vinegar has many uses!

Some of my favorite benefits are:

  • Skin
  • Weight loss
  • Cramping
  • Boost Immune System
  • Helps lower cholesterol
  • Balance PH
  • Kill Candida


Some of my suggestions that are SUPER easy to incorporate into your normal routine:

  1.  Add 1-2 cups to warm/hot bath water. Personally, I started doing adding ACV to my bath water after reading the benefits of ACV on joint pain and muscle relaxation. Shortly after, I saw benefits to my skin, hair, and overall glow. It is also said to help with yeast infections, foot odor, and reducing body odor.
  2. For my own personal health reasons, I gave up my normal 3-4 pots of coffee a day and now drink tea! Every morning I boil a pot of water (about 3 cups of water), half a lemon (squeeze into the water and then put the lemon in the water), 2 tablespoons of local honey (this is important), 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”), cinnamon stick, and raw sugar to taste. Recently I have found sipping vinegar with turmeric and honey or blueberry which are a great variation!
  3. If I feel a cold coming on—scratchy throat, stuffy nose, watery eyes— at the first sign of a cold I drink 2 caps of ACV. About 3 years ago I went to my regular doctor extremely sick. Everyone at home was sick, all my students at school were sick, I knew I was bound to get sick as well. I made the appointment anticipating my doctor would prescribe a Z-pack or some other antibiotics to help me kick sickness quickly. Much to my surprise he told me:

“No antibiotics. Go home, drink 2 caps of vinegar. When you are really sick, drink one extra. You will get better, don’t worry. When you get better, don’t stop drinking it. Drink one cap per day, every day. Apple cider Vinegar with ‘mother’ is the best but add red vinegar to vegetables or salads too. It will keep you well.”

I haven’t had a “cold” in over 2 years!
