Hi! I’m Emily, health and wellness coach.

My clients and I work together to tackle health and wellness in all aspects of their lives…and to make it fun along the way! I strive to help my clients realize that making healthy choices doesn’t have to be hard or boring, and work to connect them to deeper reasons for making a healthier shift. Our focus is on creating healthy habits that will last, not just a quick-fix weight loss.

Sessions with me include learning about a variety of concepts from all areas of wellness, as well as practice exercises to help integrate the learned info into your life. Meditations, introspective questions, writing exercises, and hand outs all come into play.

Clients leave each session with one to four action steps to start integrating into their life for the next week. Action steps are as big or as little as the client can handle that week; so if this whole process sounds overwhelming, don’t worry, we’ll take it one step at a time.

My professional background is widely varied, with experience in the non-profit sector, yoga instruction, art world, construction, and lots of coffee serving over the years. My goal in my career is to be of service to others, helping them in whatever way I can. In my free time, I love taking adventures, exploring nature, dancing, seeing live music, creating, and wearing glitter whenever possible.

I found my way to health coaching a couple of years ago. I found myself in an exhausted, stressed out, “blah” feeling phase. Despite exercising regularly, I was gaining weight. I thought I was doing things right, why did I feel so icky!?!? Can you relate?

I meet my clients where they are; whether you are just starting a wellness journey, or are pretty healthy already, I am here to support you as you strive to be the most energized, happy, excited and healthy version of yourself.

I came to Emily with a whole host of problems: poor diet due to traveling for work, no motivation for exercise, and trouble sleeping, just to name a few. In just a matter of weeks, I'm happily meal planning and eating better, I'm attending a daily early-morning exercise class that I genuinely look forward to, and I'm sleeping better than I have in years! I used to have a terrible time sleeping. I’d wake up in the middle of the night and be awake for hours, living in a state of constant exhaustion. Now, my new normal is sleeping well: when I wake up and can’t get back to sleep it feels weird! I finally feel rested when I wake up in the morning -- which definitely helps to get to my 5:30 AM exercise class! Sure, it took time and diligent effort for it to all come together, but Emily's patience and guidance throughout the entire process made it feel doable and never like an uphill battle. Her approach is so much more than just ""diet and exercise"" like so many programs are. It teaches you how to see yourself as a priority -- and how to actually TREAT yourself like one. There's a lot of introspection and some shifting of your pre-conceived ideas, but it's honestly one of the best things I have ever done for myself. My only regret is not trying it sooner.

Emily is truly amazing and has changed my life. Through her support and knowledge in the 90 day program, I have totally transformed! I completed a 14 day detox program with Emily last year and it was challenging but rewarding. After going through it, I was able to recognize what I don't need so much of in my diet and learned that I like green smoothies. I enjoyed the process so much that I'm even doing it again!
