My name is Sidney Bitterle, and I am a certified personal trainer through NASM. I am also graduating this May with my Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a focus in Health Promotion at Fort Hays State University.
I plan to continue my education through FHSU and obtain a Master’s in Human Health & Performance.
I became very passionate about health/fitness/nutrition my freshman year of college. Originally, I had pretty much no idea what I was doing, and the only thing I was consistent with was Yo-Yo dieting/exercising which never progressed me towards my goals and really made me think at one point that I would never find my way.
I finally had enough of the restrictive diets, doing whatever workout was trendy, and constantly criticizing myself. I dedicated my time and energy to learning about the importance of proper nutrition and exercising in ways that are effective AND enjoyable.
I stopped fixating on just the end product, and embraced each day along with it’s challenges and used each day as an opportunity to be the best person I could be.
I stopped revolving my life and happiness around what food I ate or my workout for the day, and started living my best life while tailoring fitness and food around my real life.
I stopped stressing over my physical appearance and invested in learning about myself as a person/individual and becoming who I wanted to be- who I was meant to be. With the help of my wonderfully supportive husband, Troy, I’ve been able to find a true balance between living life while still eating soundly and staying in shape.
When it comes to health/fitness/wellness, I’ve learned that it is highly individualized, and there truly is not one “best” way to go.
I believe that finding something sustainable is critical, as sustainability elicits consistency and we all know the saying “consistency is key.”
I believe in the importance of self love, embracing the journey and creating a lifestyle that allows you to enjoy this amazing life while simultaneously achieving the goals you set out for yourself.
