Master of Arts, Psychology, Counseling Specialty

I believe people can change the parts of life they feel dissatisfied with by examining them directly. I believe embracing change rather than struggling against it can unlock amazing transformative experiences for us all.

I have been a psychotherapist for 14 years and have specialized in both forensic and crisis treatment. I have witnessed firsthand how confidence and healthy self-esteem are the building blocks for a happy and successful life.

Each one of us has blind-spots and blockages that can interfere with our true potential. Receiving feedback from an objective professional can help us work past these blockages and blind spots so we can create what we need.

Frequently all that is needed to create lasting change is a shift in perspective. This change in perspective can begin with as little as a series of small goals designed to create personal momentum. I am reminded of the old riddle, “How do you eat an elephant?” The answer is “One bite at a time.” From small things great things will come!

My methodology comes from my own experiences. I have been a dedicated fitness enthusiast for over 30 years as well as a practitioner of several different martial arts. I am currently training and competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

I set goals for myself on a weekly basis and my training partners and logbook help keep me accountable and consistent. I feel success is addictive and habit-forming and within the grasp of every individual.

I favor a direct approach wherein each client defines their goals and moves at their own pace. I have often said to clients “I can point you in a direction, but I can’t make you go.” As a coach it is my job to help you get to where you want to be by building your self-awareness and motivation to change. I look forward to helping you all on your journey!
